Gibbs Farm was beautiful, the staff were friendly, the room was lovely, as were the gardens. The food was excellent and liked the way they grew all their own fruit and veg, and raised their own beef, chicken and pork!

On our way to the Crater Lodge, we stopped at a tribal village to learn about their culture. Next, we had a delightful stop at Gibbs Farms. We enjoyed our tour of the organic farm and learning about the harvesting and roasting process for coffee beans. The lunch buffet was plentiful and the food was fresh and delicious including yummy desserts. The gift shop here had the best variety of lovely African handicrafts of all the locations we visited.

Absolutely loved the place. I would probably spend two days in the crater.

An oasis was definately right! It was like an english B&B in the middle of Africa! The food was just so good and the service I think the best we had experienced and for me probably the best anywhere on any of my travels! We loved just sitting in the garden looking out over the coffee plantations in the late arvo having afternoon tea.

I am so thankful you put us in Gibb’s Farm. Food, service and comfort was just what we needed after roughing it up in a camp. On the morning of our trip to Ngorongoro, they had forgotten about our coffee… imagine a coffee plantation and we left without a drop of anything! Ayoub was quick to prepare at least the coffee thermoses by himself in the kitchen. He also made sure that the manager found out. Later at dinner that evening, the manager approached our table, apologized personally for the error, and invited us to a bottle of good South African red wine.
