Overview of Migration Expeditions Camp

Migration Expeditions immerses travellers in Botswana’s remote, pristine Makgadikgadi Pan. The camp’s location in the Nxai Pan National Park provides access to one of the best-kept secrets in African safaris: the zebra migration. With a prime position along the 1000km migratory route between Namibia and Botswana, Migration Expeditions promises exceptional game viewing and plenty of predator-prey interaction during this spectacle.

Nxai Pan National Park is known for its large elephant bulls, black-maned Kalahari lion, cheetah, spotted hyena, oryx, wildebeest and a wealth of migratory birds. Guests will spot these animals – and perhaps a few of the less common leopard, wild dog and brown hyena – during morning and afternoon game drives in the park. There’s also opportunity to take a half-day excursion to explore Baines’ Baobabs, a thicket of Africa’s iconic Tree of Life at the edge of Kudiakam Pan.

Accommodating just 12 guests, who can arrive by road or air during the rainy summer season (December to March), Migration Expeditions is intimate yet accessible. After days immersed in the African landscape, the stylish bush camp is the ideal place to enjoy dinner before relaxing around the fire circle to share safari stories.
